At Ripley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, our goal is to help people live better and enjoy life. Our Recreational Therapy (RT) Program uses fun activities to help people gain better skills and function. For example, an art class can help motor skills through a mind-body connection. The residents remain positive towards the goal while doing something they enjoy. This makes an RT session more eagerly attended than traditional therapy. It’s a win-win all around!
RT has a unique role in the health and human service system. It restores self-care while promoting healthy living. While using leisure activities as a means to recovery, RT helps many residents overcome their challenges.
Of course, if you have questions or would like to schedule a tour to observe an RT session in real time, please contact us. We are always happy to assist you and your family. At Ripley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, our entire team strives to focus on better quality of life through healthy activities.
